Julian Wright

Julian was born on the Kenyan coast and has now found himself as the best high-altitude mountaineer in Kenya. He got into climbing in South Africa at the tender age of 14 whilst at school there. When he came back to Kenya after school, he found himself on Mt Kenya climbing the South Ridge to Nelion and Gates of Mist to Batian. His passion for Mt Kenya and mountaineering has never stopped. Julian is a highly qualified mountaineer, he is a major part of the Mt Kenya Rescue team as the first call if the helicopter is required for a technical long line rescue and he is the owner of African Ascents, the safest and best run company on Mt. Kenya.
James Christian
Co-FOUNDER
James is a biologist and a photographer who has travelled extensively through Africa. Accompanying safaris arraigned by his Kenyan raised mum, Anthea Christian, James developed a passion for wildlife and ecology, going on to study Wildlife Biology at The University of Vermont. James runs Karisia Walking Safaris, a highly awarded walking safari company based in Laikipia, Kenya.
Kerry Glen
Co-FOUNDER
Kerry was born in Kenya and grew up accompanying her parents and brother on safaris all over East Africa. Kerry's father is the sculptor Robert Glen and many of the family expeditions revolved around studying the biology and design of the animals they encountered. At the Univeristy of Cape Town, Kerry continued to pursue her interests in the natural world studying Enviromental and Geographical Sciences. Back in Kenya, Kerry designed, built and managed the renowned lodge, Sabuk. Also in Laikipia she guided walking safaris with Sabuk and Ewaso River Camel Hikes for eight years leading clients through some of the most stunning and rugged country in Kenya.
