The best part about climbing on Tumaren is the location and setting. While you focus on your next move you may at any point be distracted by the abundance of wildlife that grazes below. The rock in our area is granitic and the climbs range from 5.8 to 5.11. We will climb beside a lovely rock outcrop called Nyasura, enjoying the plains game, some slacklining and some chill time while we aren’t on the rock. We will begin our rock safari on Friday leaving Nanyuki in the evening after work or school, driving north for 2 hours to our camp. We will get to camp in time for a nice sundowner on top of Nyasura and a quick inspection of some of the immediate climbs. We will spend 2 days and 2 nights climbing around Tumaren and returning to Nanyuki on Sunday evening. The cost of the trip will include conservation fees, climbing gear, guiding, camping and meals but we can also change all parameters and you can be as self sufficient as you like for a very good value trip. Here are some images from the last trip.
